Tape Deck / Bluetooth Hack

My '02 Silverado has a tape deck separate from the head unit. Has any GS'er ever hacked a Bluetooth receiver into the tape deck wiring? Seems like it would be doable, just looking for anybody with experience. Would love to be able to use the tunes on my phone over the truck's stereo without going with the old headphone-wired-tape-deck-adapter route.

I just put a Grom unit in my daughters car. You order the unit with a specific cable for the vehicle it connects to. Gives you bluetooth connectivity for music as well as a mic for hands free use of your phone thru the cars radio. Took 15-20 minutes to install and set up. Cost us around135.00. Sounds great and works great

Imo grom is Overrated. I put a new stereo in my 02 Silverado and got it on sale from Crutchfield for like 90 bucks. Bluetooth, Cd, pandora and still cheaper then grom. I guess it might do things that grom might not, but not sure on that.

I was sharing with the op about a bluetooth set up for his vehicle. My daughters car has the ac controls and radio intermixed on a single panel and doesnot have a upgradeable radio unit so the grom unit was really our only choice.
