Ever had days where multiple bad things occur?

Was already worried this morning about friends in LE & didn't know if they were ok. Stayed up late like many people did. Get up and find out the thermocouple on the water heater went out. Safety valve was also in need of replacement. Planned to mow another property only to find out the mower was in need of repair as well.

Then get word while out working that my elderly aunt is being hospitalized for a fractured neck vertebrae and a possible concussion. They still have to check her back and knees. While heading home on a small street, an 18 wheeler pulling a 53' van trailer is traveling towards me going the opposite direction. Just as we are alongside each other, the big rig snags a large section of a low overhanging tree. If I had come through seconds later my pickup cab would've been demolished by the big limb that fell across the road. Haven't had time to check for any damage yet. A wrecker driver standing nearby looked just as surprised as I was.

Not knowing what condition my aunt was in, I didn't have time to stop. The 18 wheeler driver didn't stop either. It has been a very weird day to say the least.

It happens sometimes. Best way to beat the feeling IMHO is to sit down and consider all of the wonderful blessings that Our Lord has given us.

Those are the days I crack open my Bible to Romans 8:28.

Yes, it is great to give thanks & read the scriptures too. Was taking a moment to reflect back on good memories and times. Just being thankful for what the Lord has done, is doing, and what HE will do in the future.

The day I got engaged I got a ticket for running a red light, then we were headed to her parents that night and got another ticket for failing to dim my head lights.
I guess every thing worked out, be married 40 years in November.

It's the toughest times in life and how you react to them that define you as a person and Christian. You will have these challenges in life not to hurt you but only to make you a stronger person and closer to God. Take a step back, take a deep breath, and say a small prayer as I will also pray for you and your family. Stay strong.... God bless
