    Doctoring advice

Cut myself this am at work. What's new right
On the way home I got to thinking about superglue.
Is this a candidate for super gluing?
If so how do I do it?
    Google didn't help much.
    Left hand pinky first knuckle.
I work with my hands a lot. This will see lots of movement.

I can't give any real medical advise, but I will say that if you go the super glue route, be prepared for a burn like you've never felt before. The glue I've received through the ER didn't sting at all, but the locktight brand lit me up

That'll get 1 or 2 stitches. Course I'd just put a butterfly bandaid over it and go about my business if it were me. But I've also have had over 140 lifetime stitches. And I don't know how many "I should haves". (I should have gotten stitches).

Edit: Stitches will help it heal faster. And help keep dirt out. You should go see about get-n it stitched.

no. any wound that doesn't want to stay closed anyway(gaps naturally) can't be held together with superglue.

            Ok,
My wife got me some butterfly band aids.
Use Neosporin to keep it moist?

Super glue is a great battlefield suture but is only meant to be used until you get to the rear. That looks like it could use a stitch or two.

I just clean with alcohol both to remove oils in skin, stop or slow bleeding, add a few drops of superglue, and use one hand to hold wound together, while using other hand to wipe tears from the burn.

They do make a "skin glue" that is pretty much superglue but with less cyanoacrylate in it I believe. Vets and Dr's use it all the time. Not sure if you can buy it OTC though...

I tried to use the Butterfly Bandage. Didn't seem to wanna stick. The webbing between my fingers didn't let it get over the middle of it jus the end where it didn't seem to be needed. Put a regular bandage over it

Super glue! I laid my had open with a broad head first Knuckle in my thumb to bottom of my palm. I super glued it and you can hardly see the scar. My dad was a doc and he said said it would of took 5-6 stitches if I went to the hospital.

Dont continue to use Neosporin after today. It collects more junk than it does good. At least that is what a doctor told me. Man up and put a stitch in it yourself.

Super glue. It will fix that no problem. It might crack a little, just add more tomorrow. I've used it 100's of times, and so far it has a 100% success rate. Also I've never had it burn, and I have used all brands.

superglue it and put a bandage/bandaid over it.

I cut my right thigh with a 27" Stihl chainsaw two days after Katrina hit. Cut was 1" deep and 6" long. No hospitals/docs/anything available. I cut the buggered flesh off and made a clean cut, superglued inside, pinched together and superglued skin. Applied butterfly dressings and went back to work cutting. No infection, little pain, cut trees for two more days till done.

I wouldn't bother with stitches on it but that is me. Paper towel and some electrical tape at the most.
