Short story long we have been investigating buying a new truck for the last few months. we have been looking at crew cab 2016 trucks. Not stripped down but not loaded to the gills either. Most of the places that we looked at were running around 37,500.00. Holiday Chevy is up in Whitesboro and their prices always seem to be $1000 - $2000 cheaper than anyone else. Most chevy dealers all have the same website when looking up vehicles but Holiday has their own. As I was shopping around I would show the dealership the pricing at Holiday and was told the same thing every time but all the dealerships. On the official approved chevy site the incentives, packages, and rebates listed have to be available to the majority of the buyers or they cannot be listed. With Holiday having their own website they did not have to play by these rules. Looking at their site I could see where this explanation worked but to was not enough to cause me to strike them off my list. Anyway I emailed them on Friday and called them on Saturday. The prices seemed way too low for crew cab 2016 silverados. They had 2 listed at 27,500, a few at $28,400, and some in the $29,000's. The wife and I hot footed it up there and ended up with her a new truck for $29,000.
Here is what happened....the incentives, programs, and rebates for June expired on 6/30 and on 7/1 they went to a straight 20% off. Did I mention that Holiday does their own website? Anyway turns out their computer guy added the 20% discount but did not get the incentives and such taken off. Before their opps our truck was listed at $35,500 on their site so around $37,500 everywhere else. Like I said we got it for $29,000. It has way more crap on it then I will every need but for the price I could not pass it up....and besides all of the cheaper trucks had already been sold that day. I will give Holiday credit. It was their mistake and they honored their prices for that day.
Not my favorite color. It is a dark brown metallic but it does not photograph well. Digging around on cars.com today it would seem that the color is a $500 upgrade....
