    Tractor Throttle

Shouldn't the tractor throttle on the column max out at the pto line on the tach?

Mine I max out at 1600 rpm and pto line on tach is 2000. Is 2000rpm best for shredders?

    Thanks

    Tractor Throttle

What kind of tractor? Hp? Year? Model? How big is the shredder?

Does the throttle go above pto line when shredder is not hooked up?

Nah it taps out at about 1600 either way. Just figured it may need to be adjusted. pTO line on the tractor tach is about 2000-2100. I can hit the foot pedal and run at 2000 just not the throttle on column.

What pto are you running? 540 or 1000?

Rust can cause the linkage to stick as well. Try lubricating the pivot points first.

                  540 I'm sure.

Yep it should run all the way up your linkage has backed out or something.

It should run past pto speed at full throttle . My 69 jd 1020
runs pto speed at full throttle most times but every once in a while
it will run past pto like it should . I don't know what causes it but
you can tell the difference in engine speed . Your tach could be off
                    also

I believe the tach is pretty close I have a lot of foot pedal and can run it on up with it.

Most pto is @ 2150rpm.... 2000 is fine... I usually run around 2200
