I'm going back through some Discussions and was wondering how it worked out for you?

We use postcard size paper to leave in the blinds for people to write tally marks for animals seen, buck, doe, yearlings, and a check mark if turkey or hogs are seen. Its pretty simple and basic but the biggest thing is to make sure the blind location is written down on each page and that people record the date they sat as well.

I'll check but it I remember correctly you can go to Campbell's website and in their resources section I believe they have one you can print out- www.cglease.com.

It's called a blind count. More blinds with people at the same time the better it is. A basic form will have columns for male, female, fawns and unidentifiable. Additionally it's good on bucks to have a space for number of points and ages.

I like this idea, would like to add weather/moon conditions as well. a person could build up some good data in just one season if you hunted a lot.

Look at the app MSU Deer Hunt. It is a phone app that you can use as virtual sign in board for stands and you can print reports with regards to hours hunted, sightings per hour by sex/age class and records harvest. The app is designed for Mississippi hunters and the data is uploaded to MSU for research purposes, but I think it might work anywhere, without uploading the data.

We looked at a ranch that had little spiral notebooks in plastic zip locks in each blind...

                  Worked fine
