    Bow sight input....

Spot hogg vs axcel. Specifically boss hog, hog father or accutouch accustat. Who has em and what do you think for hunting applications treestand/spot and stalk/long range target practice/reliability/precision ect....

Never owned either brand but like both.
    Thanks in advance.

I just swapped my Spot Hogg Hunter 5pin for the new CBE Tek Hybrid Pro. I love it. It's a 3 pin adjustable

I've not used any of the adjustable sights, but I have had nothing but great results from my Spot Hogg sights. My Hogg-It has been on 2 bows. Same for the one on my daughters bow. Mrs has a Hunter.

I am pretty hard on equipment, and I am really impressed with how well they have held up for me.

I shoot, and love, the Hogg Father. Tough, accurate and repeatable.

I played with an Axcel Accutouch for a bit and I didn't like the click-in yardage feature or the anemic knob (3 spoke). Also, it has fine tune, click adjustment on the windage but not the elevation. Not being able to fine tune my yardage with between yard clicks is a deal breaker for me.

Axcel builds a helluva sight though. If they made one that was micro adjustable for yardage and windage, with a bigger knob and no goofy yardage click-in thing I would probably use one; but then it would be a Hogg Father.

Whatever you get, go with the dovetail mount; much easier to set the peep to pin size with a dovetail.

Accutouch Carbon pro is pretty dang sweet... You can't go wrong with it or the Hogg father

You don't have to use the clicks and I'm pretty sure the accustat has micro adjust pins. The knob is a bit small but the weight difference makes up for it for me. Carbon pro is a good bit lighter

I shot spott Hogg fixed pins for years then went to axcel fixed pins because I liked the pins and adjustment better. Shot them for 2-3 years. For a couple years I shot the Hogg father 3 and 4 pin sliders. I currently have 3 bows setup. All three have axcel accutouch carbons. One single pin and two of them are 3 pins. I love them. For overall hunting I don't think you can beat the carbon 3 pin slider. I wish the pins were a bit brighter for inside blinds but that's easily fixed with a sight light. I have shot just about everything and the axcel accutouch 3 pin is my favorite to date!

Quick question, can you get more yardage out of the 3 pin or 5 pin before your fletching begins to contact the sight housing?
