The lower level teams are the ones making the program their money. All you need is 1 or 2 elite level teams to make the club look good, then you can attract all the dads that will pay whatever the big name clubs deem necessary to "make their kid the best they can be through our special program". Unfortunately this is what will keep the banditos running. Their premier teams establish a name, and you get people that will travel 4 hours for their 10 year old to play on a select baseball team

I know how that is. I ain't even married and I know how it is. My ex-girlfriend costed me more than I even want to admit and knocked years off of my life while she was at it. It's actually ironic we're talking about prostitutes. If I told you about everything that devil woman did behind my back you wouldn't believe it. Hell I can't even believe it. I planned on marrying her too........cause I'm an idiot. I didn't though so I dodged a bullet there. Maybe literally...That's a story for another time though. Maybe I'll tell y'all about that nightmare someday.

Brotha, I know your pain. Was in the exact boat and found her true colors after 6 yrs.... what a heart break. Cost me way more money than I had and ruined my credit in the process because I was an idiot too. Beautiful thing is, i wouldnt have the one in my pic if I didn't go through that. I get to hunt and fish all I want now and she wants only gets jealous if she can't go too. She's a keeper and the pain I went through was worth it because who I have now!

They fly kids in from all over the country to play for the Banditos. We have played they multiple times some teams are good and some are not.

Yea pretty sure they have like a 10 year old kid from New Jersey that flies in for games and tournaments.

Isn't prostitution the oldest profession??? Not that I'm agreeing with his actions, but that kind of business has been going on for centuries and will go on as long as men and women inhabit the earth. I totally agree that he is a terrible example for kids, but at least it was going to be two consenting adults with some coin changing hands...

How many players both college and professional are getting away with sexual assault on young ladies?? Just look at Baylor for example. That's what we should be concerned about IMHO and not with two adults involved in the business of carnal pursuits.

Do a lot of good kids play for them?....YES! Does that mean just because you play for him you have a good chance to play in college? NO

You've made it fairly clear and really obvious that you are not a fan of select baseball, so why keep posting about it? It drives me nuts that so many people want to get on here and stir the pot, move along if it doesn't suit you. Better yet, Mr. I Played Baseball for 20 Years, I have 3 sons, if there is a better way, share your knowledge... You seem to know something that us "clueless" parents don't, enlighten me and everyone else.

As far as clueless goes, I played college athletics... I have pretty "decent" idea of how the game is played and how it all works.

Lastly, I am not a Bandito fan, we play them often there are some really good Coaches and teams. They also have some really bad Coaches and really bad teams. I read an article this week where a 10 year old threw 64 pitches on Saturday and over 100 on Sunday, and folks were ripping Ray. Ray wasn't the Coach of that team,and that is a parent issue, not a Bandito issue. Why would you let your kid throw 160+ pitches in a weekend?

I have been Coaching select with my oldest son for 4 years nows, and I have never met Ray, nor seen him at any of the tournaments we are at. I am sure he is up with the older teams teaching them nothing and not helping them get scholarships, yet hundreds of parents keep paying money and feeding the machine. They must be "clueless" too!!!

I referenced earlier that countless numbers of kids go through that organization, and I don't know what their core values are. I don't know what Ray preaches, but he missed a golden opportunity. God blessed him with a talent to bring people together, no matter your feelings, there are Bandito teams at every tournament we have ever played it. You talk about an easy way to spread God's message. Go listen to Tony Robichaux from ULL speak about God and the opportunity he has had Coaching baseball to spread the word, it is moving.

Well, my son plays for one of the top Bandito teams, 16u Houston Banditos. I guess all of you are gonna a have to boycott me. lol

Ray (Owner) isn't the only coach over there. My son played under Ray his first year or so but since then has played under Sanson Faltine. Great guy and a great Coach.
