Sorry to hear. Just don't want to surprise those big guys. When I was in Alaska in the
80's seemed every other year they'd swat a rider or two of the three-wheelers during the spring. Never ended pretty.

You can cover a lot of ground very quietly on a bike. I used to ride up on a lot of critters. In bear country that could be bad news. Prayers up for the family and community. Sounds like they lost a good one.

Definitely shouldn't kill the bear. The bear was just being a bear on his home turf. I'd feel differently if the bear had gone into a developed neighborhood and killed someone but that's not the case.

Yeah, I don't understand killing bears, gators or gorillas for doing what bears, gators and gorillas do.

We work far too hard to make this world sanitary and safe.

What amazes me is the folks that are inclined to be against hunting, are the 1st to call for an animals demise
