    Crossover Vehicle Suggestions

Considering getting into a Crossover Vehicle.
What are you guys/gals driving that is gas efficient but spacious enough to carry hunting gear and a cooler of dead quartered hog/deer.

Wife's driver is a Chevy Equinox -- 25-28 on the highway and about 20 in town. Back seats fold forward so there is plenty of room in the back, but that only leaves you driver & passenger seat.

I drive an 03 trailblazer . Most reliable vehicle i have ever owned.
I treat it like a truck at the lease as well and with 273k id drive it to Alaska tomorrow.
And you can get one in 4wd

I bought a Subaru Crosstrek for the same reasons. Plenty of space with the rear seats folded down and get's low 30's on the highway. AWD and the 9" of ground clearance were a must for my lease since the road to the camp is rutted and rain is unpredictable. The last time we got caught by an unexpected storm that dropped about an inch I was the only one to make it off the lease unassisted, both the other trucks (2wd) got stuck. I will say that if it looks like there is going to be a bad storm that I will still take the truck instead.

The other vehicles that I looked at that met the same criteria were the CX-5 and the CRV.

Wife drives a Ford Edge. It's nice but it's a car not a truck or SUV IMO.

Nah, I replaced them with Hillary stickers. I also put them on my diesel truck, sports car, and Jeep with 40" tires.

I got the Subaru when I was having a brief flash of practicality.

Wife has a Honda CRV and is a great little car. I am 6'2" and don't mind driving it.

My wife has the Crosstrek. I kid her and call it the lesbaru but in truth it's a nice little ride. I have seen several around here in the same sand color tricked out with all the accessories and dudes driving them. She would not go for the roof basket and all that unfortunately.
