    Small Engine Repair Guys

I've got a push mower that is a Troy-Built with a Honda engine. Lately it was starting to rev up & down while mowing and would die. I replaced air filter & new spark plug. I mowed with it a couple times approx 2 hours of mowing and yesterday toward the very end of using it it started revving up & down again like before. Just wondering outside of new filter & plug what to take a look at

There is water in the gas/carb. Turn off fuel line shutoff, then drain that little bell shaped thing by the carbeurator, hit the carb with carb cleaner, and see if that works. Sometimes you have to do this several times to get all the water out.

I would drain it like above and then the next order of business is a carb rebuild if the drain doesn't cure it. Carb kits are cheap and easy to install.

Mine was doing the same thing a while back. Did the same thing replaced air filter and plug put seaform in it still acted up the next time. So hit up the repair place for a carb kit. And he said just replace the carb it's only like $27.00. They had to order it but it only took 3 days. That fixed it.
