Pour the beer on it and it will be 6 feet tall and bullet proof.

The pumpkin pictured didn't make it but have a few more started. The 2 plants are hybrid prizewinners and the pumpkins are from 944 Archer seeds.

Is a vine borer and leaf miner the same thing? My plants have been given hell by leaf miners.

Not really but the larva from both feed on the plant

This is an old post I thought I would bring back to life. I’m trying again for a giant pumpkin. Seeds came from a 2000 lb giant. Been in ground for about 7 weeks now and pollinated a pumpkin this am. Yesterday saw a vine borer flying in garden.
