24" cattle panel enough to keep hogs out??

Our feed pens are ~ 40x40 of three strand barb wire. The strands are at roughly 12", 30" and 48". Obviously it does nothing to keep the hogs out. I found a deal on a bunch of 48" cattle panel. I am wondering if making each 48" panel two 24" and attaching to the exiting wire and post would be enough to keep the hogs out.

NOPE, the big pigs will go right over it. . .

It will keep most hogs out but you will get piglets that will be able to get in and you will probably have a hog here and there go over the top.

I use 30" and big ones will go over. You can eliminate the jumpers and it is sometimes a while before another figures it out. No guarantees

Even with a strand of wire at 30"?

If I can keep 75% of them out I would consider it a win.

            It keeps mine out
I did the front half of my pen in half panels never a pig pic.
Rooting all around the pen though.

Like others stated I bet it would keep the majority out.

We run a couple strands of barb wire above the panels. But our are 36" and haven't had a problem.

It will keep most of them out because most pigs feed with their heads to the ground and won't worry to look up and go over but I've seen some smart enough to get in. It definitely helps reduce the number

ID:	24449245I have used the 50 inch cattle panels cut in half. They keep 99% of the pigs out. I have had 1 big (really big) pig getting in this year. Before the panels picture and after picture. I was going to hunt him but he stopped coming after a couple of weeks. I guess he found an easier place to get fed.

I figure for the corn to fall inside the feed pen to be more effective so If there is no corn outside the pen then they have nothing to eat so they leave , the bigger the pen less corn outside and more room for more deer inside the feed pen

I've had pigs clear 5 foot cattle panels with little run room.

Ours is about 24" tall with 1 strand of barbed wire about 6" above that. None in it so far.

I'd take my chances with the 24" with that size pen. All my pens are round.
