Welding question!!

Why would it have to be done upside down? The right shop would have the means to turn the boat over if it is on the bottom.

It's not a Jon boat, it's a bass boat. I mean they could but it's not in a hard place to get to. They would probably spend more time flipping it over than just welding it. The crappy thing is the previous owner put np1 on it on the inside....and there's not enough room to grind it off. So welding from the bottom is the only option.

Like some others said.....CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN the aluminum. Do not use junky aluminum to practice or build with. Practice with like materials before you go to burning holes in your boat.
