Disc cooker question

I recently bought one and have cooked on it a few times , how do I keep Rust off this thing I even stored it inside thinking it would help , but nope

When you are done cooking with it and have cleaned it just wide it with a rag that you have put some cooking oil on it.

keep it oiled. I keep mine w/ a light coat of oil and put in a trash bag and tie it closed in the barn. works good.
