Another crappie trip in the books!!!

Made it out yesterday with another TBH'r and put a beat down on the slabs. Left a couple short of a 3 man limit because everytime we opened the cooler to add another fish a couple would jump out!! Good problem to have I guess. Plus it was hot and mushroom Swiss burgers were calling my name!!! Had one 2lb fish and another real close. Several around a pound and a half. Jigs in brush were the ticket today that will be like a broken record for the next few months. Water temps 89. Dock fish are pretty much gone for me.

Fished half new stuff and half old stuff yesterday. Picked up 4-5 new piles I like. Gonna make a few more trips like that next few weeks and maybe put in a little work a night or two. Gotta give em a good home!!

I bet we had close to 100 fish total for the day

Threw back several bass, a catfish, a bream, a hybrid and that one sand bass that met the knife
Plus a bunch of short fish

I've been fishing for crappie on Lake Tyler the past two weekends and have not caught a mess like that! Looks like I need to switch over and try Palestine. Great mess of fish!!

My buddy fishes there a lot. Says its a dink lake. It's further for me to go than Palestine so I doubt I ever make it over there. Small as it is I bet it fishes easy though. This time of year find brush and catch crappie.
