Rental car discount code

Going to be renting a car for a couple of weeks in July. Does anyone have a corporate code I can enter or a discount code? Just trying to save a few bucks. Thanks

I don't have a corporate code but if you don't mind going through it they usually negotiate on price

Orbitz was cheaper than anything else but compare apples to apples. I missed that the company I chose was a shuttle ride offsite not in the airport

I went through Costco a few weeks ago. They use Avis. When I got to the airport, Avis upgraded me to a premium SUV for $8 per day because I booked through my Costco membership.

I've done the "name your price" thing before on priceline.com and it worked well.

You put in what kind of car your want and what you are willing to pay and they shoot it off to the rental car places at whatever airport you are picking up at. If one of them accepts your offer you have to honor it and it is non-refundable.

I got a car last summer in Nashville for like $7/day. Of course they still hit you with a ridiculous fee but all in I think I paid like $78 out the door for 5 days.

The "corporate" codes are usually a screw job. You can find cheaper cars using pages like Hotwire, Orbitz, Kayak, Travelocity, etc.

A trick would be to log on NOW, make the reservations up to the point before entering the credit card information, then close the browser and do NOT complete the transaction. Amazingly, a gift from above they will email you a day or two later there is a price drop!!!

Also if you are a NRA member you can receive discounts through them as well..Not sure how much, but i have used it
