When I interned at the Comanche ranch in south Texas years ago, it was pretty easy to get lost on that ranch.......even on ranch roads. Not sure about 3 months but 108,000 acres where everything looked the same, was easy to get turned around.

It's a pretty helpless feeling actually. Can't imagine getting stupid lost in the big woods.

In College , dad and I were elk hunting in Colorado. We got Separated. The horse I was riding boogered at something and bucked me off. I went off after her and in the process got turned around. I was lost for most of the day. As night time was falling I came across two hunters. They took me to their camp and gave me a lift back to the main road. I sat on the their talegate and had to lead that F'ing mare. Good thing is they had a cooler of beer and told me to drink all I wanted that it was gonna be about an hour drive. Not gonna lie I was pretty scared but was ready to build a fire and camp that night.

I honestly don't believe there is a single place in Texas big enough to be legitimately lost for three months, I just cant see it.

I don't know how anybody could stay lost for 3 months in Texas nowadays, even in the Big Bend area. If you're smart enough to survive off the land for that long, you're probably smart enough to eventually find a river or road that will get you in contact with another person in a week or less.

Most people when lost begin to move/wander. If you aren't following the movement of the stars, the sun or landmarks you are guaranteed to be walking in a circle. I doubt there is anywhere in the entire US that if you have the food, water, and clothing from the elements that you could continually walk a straight line (barring a giant mountain range) you wouldn't come across something in three months.
