I live on the trinity and it has so much fresh coming in right now you may be seeing the mud line. There are a few gas wells out there but the terminal shut down so I'm not sure they are still active.

I don't think it is a mudline, did you look at the link? Images aren't current, I believe they are from fall of 2014 right now.

Yep, oil to me. No boats around. Couple platforms close by. Mine shows December 2015.

Looks to be more to the east on the small islands near Anahuac canal.
