A politcal/current events forum was created but those threads keep getting set up in ATC. Seems like all that really happened is we lost bowhunting reports and E&T and things went on as normal for the face book on TBH forum.
I think rule enforcement is more akin to cajoling that slapping and punching.
People are guided towards the proper forum, but not hammered if they post in the wrong one.
Repeat offenders (of any rule), however, are dealt with. Ask Ragin'.
Speaking of. Why did they do away with bowhunting reports? Don't bow hunters want to read bowhunting reports on a bowhunting forum?
They are trying to create a true "camp fire" feel. Where bowhunting reports/stories are told. Basically trying to bring the people together, rather than separating everything (besides topics that generally create division like politics).
I used to enjoy the CE discussions a lot more than I do now as the whole presidential debate thing has left me jaded. Don't even watch the news anymore. I still lurk but promise myself not to post anything that is going to get me in an argument. There was a Orlando thread that was posted in ATC and I got on there and read something that made me mad and lost the self discipline to not jump in the fight and it cost me.
At the end of the day I chose to look at it and respond instead of hitting the back button. My lack of self discipline, my problem, and I own it. If you don't like what you see stay out of it.

Well I just think if the mods were trying to do it right they would move that stuff to the other forum so this one would be more archery/hunting talk less jumbled with daily mess. Don't get me wrong, I read and post on those threads, but it's hard to see the good results of good intentions when there are a dozen threads on current events on any given day in the ATC forum.
