I listen to 92.9 shooter country here in Waco. They mainly play red dirt music, local stuff and classic. Every now and then they sneak in some of the new stuff but I guess they have to. I can't remember the last time they played one of his songs, if they even do.

I got in my wife's truck the other day and this song was on Waco 100 (or as I call it repeat radio). She said she liked it and turned it up. I said who is this, Luke Bryan? She said I think so. After it ended she asked me what I thought and I told her that some of the lines in the song got me puzzled. She just laughed and left it there.

She knows that I don't listen to that kind of music any more, ever since Blake Shelton's Neon Light... I can still hear. You didn't have to repeat every third word in your song two or three times, I heard you the first time.

You know maybe he is talking about mowing the lawn. Probably picked up a new Murphy at the Wal Marts.

If you live on the far northside of town we have 99.7 KStar out of Conroe/Montgomery. Lots of classic, outlaw, and modern red dirt and outlaw.

Out far Northwest Cypress area there is 105.3 playing Texas only country.

It's also clear that nearly everyone that condemns him as "not being country" dont know how or where he was raised.

I get his music as not being classic country, but he's writing his own stuff and doing what he does. Not my most enjoyable listen, but he's not one of the fakes strutting around.

More importantly, why is he "looking at a field, down wind!"????
I think he means hes down wind looking at a field, THats why the comma is there. If he was looking at a field down wind i dont think there would be a comma

I'm going out on a limb, this is about the only country sounding song on modern country I've heard lately

I don't know where Bryan was raised but I haven't heard a song of his I can listen to past a chorus without wanting to puke.
