    Feeder "The Timer" issue?

I have "The Timer" timer system on my feeder. I am using a 12v motor and 12v battery and the timer always shows 6v. I have replaced the battery with a brand new 12v so I doubt it is a battery issue. Is there something I am doing wrong?

Try hitting the reset to see if it changes

I had the same thing happen to me today. I'll try the reset function tomorrow

Google them and call em. The tech guy I've talked to there before is real savvy and glad to help.

          Call Carl at Ultramatic Monday.

Is it doing it even when discounted from the solar panel?
we had one do exactly that and it turned out to be a panel was going out...
replaced panel, showed 12v...didn't do it when disconnected from the panel...

I just hit the reset button and now it is showing 12v.
I'll be taking back out to our place this week, but hopefully that fixed it.

Several of mine read as 6v but it doesn't seem to affect them at all. Corn still stings when it hits you.

Yep, I talked to Carl from Ultramatic and he explained that if you remove the battery for charging, and the solar panel is in sun light "The Timer" will read the charge coming from the solar panel @ 6V. He said just put the 12V battery back in and hit the reset button to fix the issue.

                  Thanks,

I have an issue with one of "the timers" too. Not a big deal but maybe someone here knows what's up. I have three of these timers. Two of them will throw corn for five seconds when I use the test button. The third one however, throws for whatever time you have your feed times set for whether it's two seconds or ten.

Is there a way to change this?

Yes, you can change that. I think you just push the run time button while at actual time, not feed setting. I think 5 seconds is the default.

to change the test run time:

push and release "set clock" button
tap the "run time" button to the desired run time in seconds

Mine has read 6V for a few seasons, but like mentioned, still works fine. Just out of curiosity is it working at half speed when reading 6V?

I won't change either way, because if it slung corn any harder and farther my animals might get an eye put out.

Just as long as it gets corn on the ground every time it is slated to go off, I am satisfied. I hunt East Texas so swine just want it their when promised, the timer does that every time.

No matter what the timer voltage indicator reads, the output to the motor is the voltage of the battery.
