Got a Ticket

On my way to work this morning (running late) I got pulled over doing 80 in a 60 (I-30 and Eastchase). This exchange follows...

Officer: "Good morning, how are you?"
Me: "Doing well, just running a little late."
(Shows me the radar gun)
Officer: "80 in a 60. License and registration."
Me: "Yes sir."
(Hands it over)
Officer: "I'll be right back."
(Comes back and hands me my ticket and a brochure about not speeding)
Officer: "Sign this, it is not an admission of guilt. You have 11 days to appear in court."
Me: "Yes sir. Thank you, be safe."

I wasn't threatened. I wasn't assaulted. I wasn't tased or shot. I took my lumps and went about my day.

Isn't it amazing what happens when you're not an ***hole to an officer?

This could have been a great thread........ I will try to get it started any way. That's what you get you speed you get pulled over and a ticket. There that's better.

Thought this was going to be another thread about a guy seeking a lawyer to try to weasel their way out of a speeding ticket he rightly deserved. Glad to see it wasn't someone NOT owning up to their mistake and just dealing with it. Been there man...sucks.

Why not take it to court and see how it plays out? You have to go in anyway.

What is the cost of that citation?

80 in a 60 that's not speeding that is flying. Did he ask for a pilots license. Just kidding Maybe defensive driving and it won't count against your insurance. Still have to pay though.
