    Hunters Ed question?

So I am originally from Nevada, took my my hunters Ed there when I was 12, I'm now 21 and living here in Texas. Do I have to have a Texas hunters Ed? Or will my Nevada one work?

It's good nationwide. No need to take it again to meet requirements. Now, the bowhunters certification is seperate, buts good nationwide as well.

I've never heard of a bow hunters certification?

It's not required except in a few states. But sometimes you are required to have it to apply for hunts, like Hagerman.

          Hunters Ed question?

Bowhunter Ed is a course similar to Hunters Ed, but geared towards bowhunting and bowhunting safety. Google IBEP (International Bowhunters Education Program) and you will find all the info on it. It is generally not required in TX, but can be required by some states or other countries. I had to have it to hunt in Canada.

Also, in answer to your question, I do believe that your Nevada certificate will be good in Tx. Just call TPWD and ask to be sure though.

Thanks for answering this question. It actually cleared up a few things for me that I wasn't positive about.
