Ive killed a ton of aoudad both in west Texas and here in central Texas. I've always worked on ranches and every one I've hunted was free range. I'm now the foreman of this ranch in llano, and we have a ton of good aoudad but I would like to offer them a self feed or just a couple feeders by a few water tanks I have. Do y'all know any good feeds that they prefer. They like cattle cake I know but that's hard to feed out of any feeder and I was thinking alfalfa pellets but my Javelinas love those even more. Any help is appreciated just want my "pets" to have a go to snack area. I've shot a couple over thirty so I like to just look at them now.

Had a lease on the Devils river and we'd fill protein feeders and set our cameras and when we'd check them 30days later you'd see heards of Audad show up and camp out for few days till all the protein was gone . So I'd just feed protein plus your deer may even get a little nibble depending on your Audad population. I'm telling you those dang things are worse than pigs ! The first year we thought they were cool ! But after everyone had a ram on the wall we remembered we wanted a good deer lease not a Audad Sanctuary.

Not too sure on a food plot. I've hunted them for 5 years on several different types of terrain and they all seem to have patterns. If they find a natural location they like, it doesn't take much to keep them there. The past two years have been good rain wise and they love water. They really like to find places on the edge of creeks or ponds that they can roll around in while they graze.
If you do start putting protein in a feeder make sure you stake it into the ground. They will knock the legs off to get more out of the feeder
