You eat that stuff, no telling who you can talk to, in whatever language you want. Probably see some pretty big deer too. If you dehydrate it and make jerky, it aint bad.

My first shot at an id is a Buried-Stalk Puffball.. they like sandy soil.. these two look pretty beat up.. Google it and let me know if that's close
