    Entergy Trans Line Project

I got a letter from Entergy Texas. It appears that they want to add electrical transmission infrastructure in Grimes, Montgomery and Walker County. There is an electrical substation in Grimes that they want to connect to a Lewis Creek Substation in Montgomery County. The proposal is for a single circuit transmission line with single pole structures within a 125ft right of way. They sent. Map with multiple possible routes.....my property is on one of those possible routes. This hasn't been approved by the Texas Public Utility Commission but they are wanting - and I'm assuming required - the publics comments especially if it affects your property. There are a couple nights for information, comments and etc. considering the many possible routes, at least in relation to my land, I'm not going too crazy yet. My land is only ten acres. A 125 ft right away would devastate my family and I. Comments, ideas?

Do you live there? If so, you might want to research the incident rates of cancer and HV lines. Secondly, it will drop your land value and make it a little tougher if ever wanting to sell.

If it was my property, I would fight it tooth and nail.

My son lives in Montgomery Cty too. Could you send me a URL with the details of this transmission line plan? If you want to PM it that would be great also.

I appreciate your help & GOOD LUCK fighting!!!

Yeah commented on the other tbh'r. We have quit a bit of land and they ran them on our property, they wanted to run them by our barn, but my mom asked them along with her attorney to move the lines to the back of our property which they did. I'm not sure health wise, but I know when we go under our hair stands straight up lol. They are gonna go where they want to go pretty much, I know on our place they were going to go through our land no matter what, you do get paid for it too since they are making an easement through your property.

That's the thing, I don't have lots of land I have ten acres. A 125ft wide easement would be horrible especially since I'm a small farmer.

I don't have a URL. They sent the property owners who are within 300ft of any lines a letter.

Is your home on the property?

                        What do you farm?

I can understand not wanting a easement across your land

I have an apiary (bees) and potatoes. We have our travel trailer on the property but are going to build.

Sent the letters out on Friday, still can't find anything on their Entergy website or the PUCT site.

They half to pay for a easement . You should check what the going rate per rod is then go from there . My dad had them go across is place which is a hay field so there where no trees I think two poles all they set he got 10000 for .
