Guys keep Shorty in your prayers. Billy just informed me that they have sent him home from the hospital with stage 4 cancer. It won't be long.

"He will be whole again soon."

Thoughts and prayers for a fella that's introduced a lot of folks to the outdoors.

            Thanks, men!

I just spent a couple hours with my old buddy Shorty. His time with us is coming to a close. It put tears in my eyes when he said dont go at the end of our visit. We had a good visit. We went down memory lane and we have alot of memories over our 52year friendship. He's a hero of mine for doin all he has done. He climbed the highest peak in Texas(Guadalupe Peak) in a wheelchair. He was on Air Wolf with Jan Michael Vincent. We were together alot in high school. Girls new if we were to go on a date Shorty would probably be along. He went to bull ridings with me. We hunted and fished many places. One hunt that stands out is when we were meeting kids for a turkey hunt in the parking lot of the Walmart in Georgetown. He saw a kid in a wheelchair going across the parking lot that was not one of our kids. And believe it or not he talked the mother in to letting that kid go hunting with us for the weekend. And she didnt know any of us. But we had a great time and I'll bet that kid remembers that weekend to this day. I have so many memories. I hate seeing him go thru cancer after all he has been thru but I know it wont be long till he is whole again. He will be jumping and running with some of our friends that have gone before us. Keep him in your prayers for peace and comfort.
