Tiki Hut?

Anyone ever build a tiki hut with a thatch roof?

I'm looking at replacing my bamboo roof with tiki thatch and was looking for advice.

I believe they are weaved, I've seen them made on TV.

I replaced one when we lived in California. Bought the material on line and used black tie wraps to attach it to the braces. Took about 4-5 house all together. Feel free to Pm if you have any questions

put netting over it to keep the leaves from blowing off in high winds

Good idea with the zip ties. I currently have a frame and bamboo on it. Was thinking of using 2x4s across current frame to secure the thatch to. Probably those thatch rolls.
