    Boat seat help please

I have a 1652 aluminum boat with side console that I'm wanting to add a seat to behind the console. I have hydro turf down but my biggest issue is finding a way to bolt the seat down because I'm in able to get to the under side of where it would be attached. I've seen some cheap slide in mounts at academy but hoping to find something more secure and permanent than that. Thanks for any help. Here's a pic of boat so u can kinda see what I'm talking bout.

Build a base to bolt the seat to and then bolt the back of the seat to the back platform

I'm not much of a fabricator and want this to look good so hoping to find something to make it look right.

Mount it to a piece of 3/4 inch treated plywood and use a stainless steel piano hinge across the front.

I'm guessing there isn't anything out there they make that would work instead of having to rig something

Not sure it's possible but maybe you could mount the seat to an aluminum plate then have someone weld it to the boat.

Another option if you can reach your hand under the deck area is to buy one of the ball bearing swivels made for boat seats. Get it in position and mark and drill your holes, then mount swivel to the seat first. Then use needle nose pliers to drop bolts through swivel and deck and stick your hand under the deck and put lock washer and nut on.

I don't know what to do with your seat, but I have a boat in my garage, and have been mulling over whether to put the hydroturf in it. I think your boat looks awesome, and I may just get some for mine now!

I highly recommend it. It's not to hard to put down either. I bought the sheets with the 3m backing and also sprayed all the edges with adhesive too.

Also you may consider getting one or two of the igloo cooler cushions with the snaps and installing snaps to the deck of your boat to hold it in place. You wouldn't have a back rest but it would be a nice cushion to sit on.

If it's foam inside, why not use molly bolts? The foam should help keep them in place, and relatively easy to tighten if needed.

I used 1/4-20 blind jack nuts.

Thanks fellas for all the help. I found a quick disconnect mount for trolling motor at the bargain cave today and I think it's gonna work perfect once I bolt down the base with the jack nuts y'all mentioned above. Here's pic of it mounted to seat.
