    Port O'Connor Flooded?

Trying to plan a trip down there this weekend, but don' t know with all the rains. Is the town flooded at all? Can you get to it? Is the fishing worth it right now?

Ok, was wondering. Any reports on water clarity in Shoalwater and the Lagoon areas?

Fishing was horrible Memorial weekend. My buddy and his family fished down there from Friday to Monday and have less than 10 keepers. One guy had one bite in all the days. IMO too much fresh water in bay system. They went to some of our best spots and couldn't find fish. Everyone was saying the same thing so the drinking was number one priority!

Water was green and good clarity. Pringle lake, cedars, coast guard and most areas all looked great. Just No bite anywhere.

Go out through the jetty and on the outside of the breakers, when there is a lot of fresh water in the bays I've found the fish move out to the beaches.

A little late on the report, but we had a great trip to POC on the weekend of the 3-5. Caught good numbers of fish almost everywhere we went. Lots of short red, but still fun. Ended up only keeping 5 reds to 26", 1 trout, 1 black drum, 10 flounder (gigged) and 28 blue crabs. Caught fish in Shoalwater, Lagoon and back water areas out near Grass Island. Not a bad trip at all and the rains went all around us for the most part!
