I read something from the principal that they instituted a dress code policy many year ago that they couldn't wear anything that was different than the standard cap and gown. The honors students can wear the standard white stole, but it can't have anything else. Seems like the media is skewing this story as usual.

That doesent make this any better. An honor student should be able to wear their NHS patch on their stole, and a school should be able to make the rule clear enough for that to be the only exception

The students that worked hard to succeed should be embarrassed they make the lazy students feel underachieved. With that in mind, no one should even have to attend college, just give everyone a degree or doctorate.
