Just got an email from Friends of Hagerman;


Attention Hagerman Hunters:

It has come to the attention of the Refuge staff that someone is purposefully posting false information on Texas Bowhunter Forum indicating the application period for the 2016 Hagerman Archery Deer Hunt has been extended. This is untrue and unethical. Although it was posted as a joke, it results in significant issues for the staff and other hunters. Be aware that this type of action could adversely impact the future of refuge hunts. For the benefit of all, please do not post false information.

One of the admins took down the thread, so the false info is gone. There were several posts about extended application deadlines.

it was just a joke that some people got all worked up about

last year people posted all sorts of stuff about the hunt being cancelled because of the rain but members here knew it was a joke and didn't go crying to Hag about
