    Having Partial Knee replacement

Anyone had one, and what can I expect on recovery time? They are doing the inside joint on my left knee that is bone on bone now. Dr said about 4-6 weeks. Thought I would throw this out for your opinion for those who have had one done.

Not sure about knee I had total hip replacement about three years ago and there was two
that had knee replacement at same time. The people with knees replacement seem to have more pain than I did. Every body either went to rehab or home with in three days.
They will have you up and walking that same day. Make sure you do the rehab and you will be fine

Thanks. What I read is they want you walking right away as much as you can stand the pain.

Except for the second night in the hospital, I didn't have much pain at all -- some, of course, but after all, some bone was removed so pain is to be expected. For me, the challenge walking was more about having faith in the implant and knowing that it was OK to be walking on it right away. Just make up your mind that you are going to do ALL the necessary rehab and go to it! You'll be fine.

Have two bad knees and the thought of getting even one replaced scares the blank out of me.

I had my left knee partially replaced in 2007. I was up and walking the next morning (didn't want to) and the morphine helped. I was in the hospital for seven days, out for about three weeks and had to go back in for another seven days due to a drainage problem in the wound. Out for another two weeks and back in for another seven days when they found MRSA (thankfully just forming on the top and didn't get into the joint).

But here it is 2016 and still doing well.

Medial on left knee. I was talking to my orthopedic surgeon, and was saying that it is probably a wives tale, but I notice a lot more pain with all this rain and weather changing. He said not a wives tale it is reality. I am excited and nervous at the same time.

Partial replacement a piece of cake. Much less invasive that a full replacement. You should be playing golf in a 60 days depending on your pain tolerance and how hard you work during rehab.

DFWPI. I guess one of the biggest things that bother me is the MRSA as I have a friend get it after a very routine process and put him down bad.

I have bone on one on the inside of my right knee. I started to take Glucosamine Chondroitin and it feels 80% better. Every now and then it hurts. You should try this stuff.

It had me worried, as I woke up on a Sunday morning (on morphine again) and there is an infectious doctor in all his garb checking me. He then proceeds to tell me that they will have to take the replacement out and wait six weeks before putting another in its place. Thank goodness my doctor stopped him because the infection was just on the surface.

Sucked because it screwed up part of deer season. Tried bow hunting in a pop up with a wound vac doesn't work at well. Did get a decent 7-point with a gun, at 20 yards duh, but my buddy had to drop me off and help push me into the tripod.
