Red all the way. The pigs in my place run when hit with green. I change all mine to red & now I can watch them as long as I want with the red light.

If they have been shot at with some kind of light, they will become light sensitive. And if you are using a motion detected light, that is just like turning on a gun light before shooting. You need to leave the light there so they become used to it. I prefer to set a light so it comes on at sundown, and stays on, even if it runs the battery down. Then let the sun recharge it the next day. They will get used to the light being on all the time and don't associate the light with the gun or bow shot. That's for a feeder light. If bow hunting, I like the light on my bow to be as dim as possible so they don't spook when it is turned on and brought down on them. If they spook, or get spooky, then I shut it off ASAP, and repeat when they get settled back in feeding again. They will many times come back if spooked a little. Bigger pigs are smarter and sometimes hang out on the fringes, letting the little and younger ones go to a feed sight. That's for pack hogs. Lone boars are a different story and extremely spooky. That's part of how they get big.

Edit: I use a very dim red on my bow. To bright of red, and they will still spook. And a very mild soft white on feeders shining down or slightly out, (when I've gotten to hunt feeders in the past.)

I have white landscape lights on my feeders--2-3-4 per feeder. Takes the pigs about 3-4 nights to get used to them and then it is game on. For a while, I tried a red light on my rifle and as soon as it hit their eye, whether from up, down, front or rear, they were gone. Same with green. Now I don't need a light on my gun/bow (other than the bowsight light) and I can shoot them from 125 yds away with the .22-250. My scope is a Leupold 3-9 with a heavy duplex reticle.

As far as I know pigs on my place had never seen green light

Every time I hit them with a green light ( I tried turning on above and bringing down onto them) they scattered

Red light works fine, so I will stick with red
