I'm watching radar trends of the MCS out to the West of us. Looks like the bulk of that will slip off to the north of us here in Montgomery County and the heavier stuff near the coast looks to be moving northeast and might miss us to the south. This system is moving a bit quicker than those storms from yesterday. We might get lucky with this first batch as it moves through. We will get rain but I like how it is moving quickly. That could change though. lol

Any word when LCRA will be done with the repairs on the spillway at Lake Buchanan? or will 1018 be the new norm for full for a long while?
I cringe watching that lake capped at 1018 and letting foot after foot of water flow thru. Would rather go into summer (and the next 5 years) with it topped off nicely.
from KXAN
"LCRA is temporarily maintaining Lake Buchanan at a level that does not exceed 1,018 feet msl because of an ongoing project to upgrade and strengthen the floodgates and other facilities at Buchanan Dam."
