    Spring/Klein Flooding

My apartment complex was evacuated this morning after Spring/Willow creek crested and dumped 3+ feet of water in parts of the parking lot overnight. I managed to get both of my trucks out, but folks in cars weren't so lucky. Lots of stalled out and flooded cars and people stuck in their apartments. Not a good situation.

    Anybody else in this mess?

    More pics to come.

Is that the Shell station right in front of The Scrapyard on Robinson Rd?

No. I don't believe so. I'm just down the road from the scrap yard and since Rayford is closed its been not stop traffic cutting thru our neighborhood all day. My daughter said we should charge a toll. Ha!

I have not been out of the yard today but my wife said it is ugly. She got re-routed two times by first responders.

Yeah I would just tell her it's only a foot deep and make her walk. Looks like a full disc replacement to me.

Grew up down there. Went to klein high school. Remember when I was a kid the bayous flooded and people were riding jet skis behind Terranova and Terranova west off cypress wood. When I was in high school and it would rain like that we would take inflatable rafts, good ones, and get in the ditches and bayous and literally white water raft for miles. It wasn't too smart, but I was 13 at the time

                              Spring/Klein Flooding

Not that it's anybody's fault that was lied to by a developer that built these "new" apartments and subdivisions along these creeks right outside the original Woodlands but everyone of the areas that is now flooded is a no brainer that it did. It has many times before in the last 25 yrs I've known it and will again. Hell the run down trailers across the street from that complex have some on stilts 10 ft high built 30 yrs ago. What does that say?

There should be massive class action law suits against those developers and whatever agency changed those areas from flood plains to yes build homes status.
