    Chill r vs No cam

Wanting to get a new bow. Right now I have the z7 extreme and wanting to get something a little more forgiving. so what's yalls opinion on the chill r and no cam. I have shot both I just can't decide lol. Also the local archery shop is pushing the Pearson rhino x. I have not shot this bow so any info it would be appreciated. Thanks.

I've had both. Loved the chill r speed and I shot it well. However, the NoCam is such an easy and forgiving shooter it's ridiculous. We have a bunch of shooters using the NoCam as a crossover hunting/3D/Target bow. You really can't go wrong either way. Just depends on what's important to you.

I shot both the no cam and the chill r... walked out with the chill r. I personally liked the chill better than the no cam.

I was torn between the chill r and an elite. I went with the Matthews and love it. Go and shoot them again and see which one tickles your pickle.

I did the exact same thing and walked out with a chill r. The no cam shot great and felt great in hand, I just preferred the speed and back wall of the chill r w/ the rock mods of course.

I haven't shot any of them; but if I were you I would shoot the Pearson as well.

Just by looking at the specs the Pearson is built to be more forgiving. While they are all very similar in specs the Pearson has the longer Brace Height and that usually means a more forgiving bow.

Only you can decide though. I have shot some low brace height bows that are lights out shooters; they just worked great for me.

All of these bows are longer ATA than the Z7 Extreme, but all have a shorter brace height a swell.

You just gotta shoot 'em and see. And don't be afraid of the Pearson; Ben Pearson Archery has been around for a very long time.

The first chill I shot didn't have the rock mods and I didn't like it very much. That's what made me look at the elite. The bow tech then handed me his personal bow, a chill with rock mods, and after that it was over. I did like the back wall on the elite as I had to move my hand foward before the back wall released. I also went with the chill because I wanted more speed than the elite was going to give me.

              Agree with these ^^
I also shot both but decided on the Chill R and have no regrets.

Yea I'm just gonna have to get back down their and do some shooting between them. I had a buddy go last year and walked out with the no cam but says he wishes now he got the chill r. Close toss up between the bows. And if the Pearson performs like I have herd it's gonna even tougher of a decision.

About 2 weeks ago I went to the MetroPlex area and shot around 13 different bows between 5 shops and settled on an Obsession Def Con 6. The only Mathews I shot were the Halon series. The 2 bows I had to decide between were the Obsession and the Bowtech BTX. I judged my pick on fell in my hand, draw cycle, and vibration/shock and noise on the shot. Speed was a little factor as all the bows were within 12 fps of each other set a 70#'s and a 29" draw.
The Obsession beat out the Bowtech BTX in the end. Understand also that this was a very new experience for me as I have only shot one brand of bow since 1989 and had not bought a new bow since 2009. I stepped outside my comfort zone in doing this, but I shot a bunch of different bows and picked the one I liked the best. Every shop I went to were great in helping me also.
