    Looking for a new .22

Any suggestions on a 22 to carry around the property for plinking and pest control? Was looking at the henry lever action 22 but was wondering about any other option.

    Thanks

Ruger 10/22 and be done with it.

I have a henry and it was a jamomatic until i sent it back to henry for the 3rd time and they finally got it right.

My favorite 22s are the only Winchester model 190s semi auto tube feds i like a marlin model 60 also.

I agree about the 10/22 - great rifle for the money. However if you like lever guns and don't mind the bigger dent it will put in your wallet, it's hard to beat the Marlin 39A - my favorite .22 Very well made and an absolute blast to shoot.

Find a used Remington Speedmaster 22.

It is a tube feed that will shoot shorts, longs, & LR’s back to back.

I have never seen one jam.

One of the best 22's ever made.

I bought my son a Henry lever 22, and the action is slicker than any Marlin I've ever owned. Pretty accurate too

I'm not sure if its the rifle I have but I have an old Remington from the 30s that is tube fed and bolt action. My Dad gave to me and I love that sucker. All I've done to it is clean it a few times shoot shoot shoot. I've shot a ton of squirrels with it from my back window. Accurate as ever.

For a lever gun, go to the gun shop and look at a Browning BL22... it's a short stroke lever and is super fast on follow up shots. I have 2 of them I used back when we used to shoot skeet with .22's... for a semi-auto, hard to beat the 10/22. Almost unlimited tweaking/modding you can do to those. Personally I prefer stainless guns for a truck gun or plinker... lot less maintenance and less likely to have corrosion/cleaning issues... synthetic stock also helps.

My all-time favorites: Winchester model 61 or the Remington Speedmaster...

It is a semi - auto with a small metal shell deflector on the receiver.

i am partial to the marlin model 39,, but i would go with a lever over semi auto because most of them will handle something other than lr rounds,, sometimes i want low power shells, shorts, cb's,, aguila ss with 64 gr bullet is my favorite, semi autos are a lot more picky

550-1 and 552 both great guns. I have a couple 550-1s my other favorite 22.

I can't remember the model of the bolt version

I second that on the Browning. One of my favorite guns in the safe.
