Springfield XD vs glock

I am old school in the fact that I prefer a safety on my firearms. Glock builds a great gun, but I prefer the XD for a couple of reasons. It has a grip safety and a trigger safety. It has a Round position indicator as well and you can feel for the firing pin with your thumb in the dark to know your weapon is charged. I feel comfortable with my XD, especially if I am carrying it with one in the pipe.

I agree w/this. I've been a Glock guy for over 10 years. I've had 2 27's, 23, and 42. I'm leaning towards getting a XD Mod 2 for the grip safety. Sure wish Glock would put a grip safety on theirs.

I had an XD9 that I put somewhere around 25k rounds through with very few issues. Bought a G35 and put 12k through it in a year, with very few issues. They're both great guns. But don't let anyone tell you either will never fail. If i were in your shoes, I'd figure out which size I wanted, then go to the gun store and handle both. Buy the one you like best.
