    Freezing sweet corn?

    Got a bunch of sweet corn, and going to freeze in vacuum seal bags. Would you leave husks on or off?

                  We would blanch it. But.after stripping it and cutting the end off, we drilled the core out. Mom thought it stayed sweeter.

                    Both sets of my grandparents were big gardeners. I am talking 5-8 acre size for the corn patch. They shucked and blanched.

                        I shuck and vacuum seal about 20 dozen a year. We are finishing up last years and it's just as good as it was when picked.

                            Shuck and blanch, otherwise you will occasionally freeze a worm or two. Blanching seems to make the corn sweeter, IMO. Besides, I don't like worms and cut away any portion of a cob that one was feasting on.
