doesn't mean the end to rain just mean the pattern will end. It may rain all week and next but over time the pattern is going to adjust to where we will have a reduction in rain and a return to conditions that will eventually promote drought depending on the duration.

I have prayed for continuous rain and less storms (wind, hail and flash flooding) for awhile now. The trend to start drying out is coming and expected to last through the winter. Thankful the reservoirs are replenished fairly well going into it.

I wish the rain would end now. Been flooded up most of the last 1.5 years and we flooded back up on Saturday and it will stay flooded from the Guadalupe through at least another week without any more rain. Our deer racks actually go down during years with lots of rain due to the stress on the animals from flooding. Dry years are very good and we have more animals during dry years because we have plenty of water and food.

These weather patterns are interesting. During a epic El Nino year last year we had epic floods in the spring and then an epic 3.5 month summer drought where it only rained about 1.5 inches at my place in Burleson County......followed by an epic fall flood.

Fast Forward to this spring with El Nino dwindling down to nothing the last 3 months we've had as wet a spring as last year's EN.

Very different patterns have so far equaled a wet result. What that tells me is that there is so much more than EN or LN that determines precip.

No don't bring on the dry weather just send the wet weather out west

I couldn't care less if it messes up the deer season just keep it wet all year. Of course I don't lease so I care about more than the hunting

Hate to see the rain go away but at least all our tanks are full to capacity. Only thing I might wish for is less humidity. It's been crazy humid the last couple years in S Texas. If I wanted humidity I would have moved to east Texas. But, I didn't and it SUX we've had to put up with so much of it lately.
