How do y'all put up with teenagers?

I'm having a heck of a time with my middle boy. Him and I just can't work together. He'll do something stupid and I get on to him, then he has an attitude the rest of the day.

Worst part is he lives primarily with his mother. So he cops a attitude and the goes to her house. Last thing we do everything I drop him off is lately is argue. I know he just pushes my button because that's his way of getting me back.

Does he have a cell phone? If so take it for about a week. It worked wonders for my teens attitudes.

I've done that before but but since he's on the ex-wife cell plan that didn't go over too well. She doesn't support me in anything so he's learned to play us against each other.

            First choice: Warn him sternly.

            Second choice: Take away phones/games/etc.

Third choice: a good ole fashion whipping with a stern look after.

Set him down and talk...encourage him and love on him. Being a teen intodays world is tough. Find out what he likes to do and do it with him.

If you find the answer let me know. We have a third teenager now and the fourth kid is 12. I have better luck figuring out women. Honest to goodness. I wish I had a time machine and I'd go back 23yrs and get a vasectomy

My "baby" is 33, had to pull the dad card the other day when he told his mama, "well, then don't say stupid s---,". Everyone has their own way, I just explained to mine at around that age, that we raised them the best we knew how. They were growing into the men they were going to be but they would absolutely live under the rules for my house. You still have to give them a serious reminder from time to time.

When I got old enough that I felt like a man dad let me know he'd whoop my arse like a man. No more problems from me!

Are they all selfish and self centered? I don't recall being that way.

Hang in there. The teenage years are just a phase. They should out grow it in about 20 years or so.
