TV Sound System Recommendations?

I know, not hunting or fishing oriented, but we have a lot of that on the GS.

Momma and I want a sound system, wireless or at least some of the speakers? We have not seen a totally wireless system yet, just those that the sub is wireless and 2+ speakers connect to that. We also don't want one that already has a DVD in the system.

Our old LG had the DVD built in and it quit working so now a bunch of speakers with wires and a dead brain.....

Appreciate the tolerance for this "non-hunting" related question

I'd recommend a sound bar and sub deal from Best Buy. Easy set-up, can fit whatever budget you have and can be very good quality for a few hundred bucks. We have a sound bar we take to use at tailgates and it gets dang loud. LG brand I believe, but not positive. Basically just plug it in and crank it up.

I'm not sure on true wireless speakers because I haven't looked at them In a while but last I checked you still needed a power source. If you ware not wanting to run true surround sound the best sound bar and "wireless sub" I have found have been Klipsch. Mine was around $700 and I love it.

Thanks all, so far...just been looking at a system from Zvox? Their site says no need for wireless speakers around the room?

Besides the LG, which did work for a long time, we had a not so good experience with Vizio so a little "gun shy" about their systems. I know, everyone has a "lemon" from time to time.

Have you looked at Sonos? It connects to your wifi and you can connect it to your TV. You can play music from the internet through it too. You have an app on your smart phone to control what you're playing and volume.

X2 for sonos. I have one and it is awesome. You can also get their outdoor speakers. Best system on the market. Imo.
