An old mans answer. KE doesn't mean too much when talking hunting arrows. Yes, you need enough to get to the vitals, but anything beyond that is pretty much wasted. We all know an arrow kills by hemorrhage. Get to the vitals, and if it passes through or does not, is immaterial. A 50# bow with any recommended arrow will give those results. Keep your broad heads sharp.

Yes sir K.e. Means nothing for penetration. Just to show efficiency of a bow.

Momentum is how you look and show penetration of a bow.

I'm not going to,agree with the just get into the vitals. Yes this kills. But if your just into the vitals that means your arrow is still in the animal. Only one hole and it's plugged. I build arrows so I get most of the time two holes.
