Saw a beautiful Fallow, lots mor deer, skunk and a coon. Gonna trek back to camp for bite to eat. Walking for 3 hours straight has reminded me how out of shape I am!

I got the .308 out. I've got 3000 acres to cover on foot looking for this group of sheep.

Came in and ate a sammich and got a lil nap. Gonna go for another lil stroll in the area I saw 2 smaller ones this morning. Gonna be lil slower going this time, sun has popped thru the clouds and it's getting hot again!

Yes it is! All morning I've been walking and scanning the top of the grass as its right at shoulder high on the deer.

Yep! I had to surrender for a little while. Sitting under big shade tree soaking up breeze. Trying to get up courage to start making the trek back towards camp.

Pour water all over your shirt if you have enough with you. That strong breeze will keep you cool on the walk back. Oh, and congrats on the hog!

Found a ridge above one of the water troughs where breeze is in my face. Gonna sit for while. Don't know there's much chance to see anything in this heat but I know exactly my chances back on the couch.

Congrats on the pig! Good luck on the rest of your hunt, as well. Your couch remark reminds me of what I use to tell my son when he was younger about fishing: "The only time you can't catch a fish is when your hook is not in the water." (Nice avatar fish, btw!)
