Yesterday in early morning hours the storms that came through southeast of San Antonio hit me petty hard. They knocked out electricity for 18 hours at my house. I moved my welder to back yard and hooked up freezers to it to save food in them. That wasn't the bad part I have done this before. When I went to check damage to trees and fences I found my six year old registered lima-flex bull dead. He was under an small oak tree that had been hit by lighting at edge of coastal field such a waste of 2200 pound of meat. Then I noticed in same coastal field where a single boar had tore up my field due to electric fence being down. I run a 200 miler zambra fence charger to keep them out of my fields. Another thing I can't get into my 18 acre coastal field now till it dries up to cut the hay that stuff is laying over it's getting so tall....O well gambling against mother nature you lose some and win some......Andy

Well mother nature hit me again It got dry enough to finally cut my coastal hay . Cut it on Friday morning and fixing to bale it Sunday morning . Weather reports said rain showers Sunday evening WELL guess what . There goes 150 round bales laying on ground not baled ..price of the hay went from 60.00 per bale to 30.00 now so I will loose 25 dollars per bale...After loosening my bull to lighting a month ago now this ...Really considering quilting farming ...Andy
