While we have some good ones, I wouldn't trust an internet lawyers to keep you from going to jail.

I got a speeding ticket in Texas city, I have a class A cdl, I WAS NOT SPEEDING! I hired a lawyer. Paid him 400. He rescheduled the court date. The flood came on the 18th of April. He called me VERY EARLY and said not to leave my house they would be closed because of the weather. They were open I got a failure to appear. He talked to the prosecutor and they said they were going to give me differed disposition to just pay the court 250 and everything would go away and stay off my record. I sent the 250 and never received a receipt. I call the court and ask them what's up they say well you just paid your bond and now have two warrants. I call him and he's clueless. Now he talks to the prosecutor and they said you didn't send a letter. He wasn't aware of needing to from what he says. So now I'm furious knowing if I get pulled over or something they could take me to jail and transfer me to Galveston county jail and have to deal with all of that. I am praying like crazy my lawyer fixes all of this!

best to know the entire facts before consulting legal advice, especially on a pubic forum like the GS

what if your given advice from someone who slept at a Holiday Inn, you then act like a belligerent fool and verbally assault this counsel, only to find out that you do NOT have 2 warrants ?

depending on the type of "warrants" .... I'd go in person to the local DA's office, county court house, and/or police station and inquire if you have any pending charges or warrants. Then decide how to act accordingly after consulting with a licensed practicing attorney

                just my .02

I spent a weekend in the jailhouse once because of something kinda like that. Avoid it if you can, the food ain't too sporty.

I'm pretty sure he meant to be wary of taking legal advice from "keyboard attorney" on here

If it's a Class C warrant more than likely it won't show up if your DL is ran. I know we don't enter class c misdemeanor warrants into TCIC/NCIC at our agency at least. As far as the agency who issued the citation their officers may keep class c warrant lists with them. So if you find yourself in that jurisdiction and are pulled over it may show up there. I'd call back, tell them you want to find out how to get this taken care of right away, and then do it. Hope it all works out for you.

Go turn yourself in to the county were the warrant is.
