    Durango, CO RV Resorts?

My wife and I are planning a summer trip to Durango,CO this summer with our two girls. I'm looking for recommendations on RV resorts- prefer outside of town, swimming pool a plus. Ideally full hook ups to accommodate 50 amp. Any other must do's while in the area welcome.....

Hmmm. There is plenty of them around Durango. I would recommend the visiting the Chamber of Commerce website and requesting a visitor guide book. They will ship in the mail for free.

Side note: there is plenty of National Forest to stay in for Free.

***I would recommend riding the train, visit Mesa Verde, and got to the four corner while your in the area.**** Then if your into fishing for Rainbow trout drive up to Andrew's Lake near Silverton. It is a nice little lake. Then I would go into Silverton and rent a jeep and go on the Jeep tour loops.

PM me if you need more ideas. I maybe 26, but my dad would take our family on vacation to Colorado a lot growing up.

It's changed owners since I stayed there, but it's right on the river north of town.

There is a KOA north of town on the river. It has a pool, game room, little store ect. It's been a long time since I stayed there, but it was nice back then.

We stayed there last year. It has everything you asked about.

I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

Thanks for the suggestions- please keep them coming. Anyone have experience up near Lake Vallecito?
