    Elk arrow advice

Looking to get a dozen arrows built to shoot at elk and muleys out west. Thinking I should be trying to get arrow weight up around 450ish and thinking about sticking 125 gr helix or other single bevel up front to help with getting penetration out to 70-80 yards if needed.

What brand of arrows should I be looking at to accomplish this? If it helps draw length is 29 so going to be running 30 inch arrows. Also what style of vanes should I be looking at for getting out to those longer distances successfully?

Been just buying 5575s and throwing rage on the front and running with it for deer in Texas but wanting to step it up and get serious about it after missing an opportunity on a nice muley at 60 that could have died if I put more effort into my setup.

I am a 29 in draw length and shoot arrows between 425-450 grains. Have killed moose, elk, muskox, etc with that arrow weight. I currently shoot Easton injexion 330's and they weigh 450 grains. I would shoot a quality fixed blade for elk but doesn't have to be a 2 blade. I like qad exodus, slick trick magnum, wac'em 4 blade, solids, etc for elk. They all fly and will kill at 80+ yards.

I like Black Eagle Deep Impacts. I am shooting .300's and total shaft is 505. I had a couple of the Injexions splinter at the end with the QAD Exodus head. Not a big fan of the micro inserts for that reason.

Talk to MuddyFuzzy and get him to give you his opinion and let him build your arrows! DocMay is right on with his choices. Personally I like the Ramcats!
